Rosh Hashanah Price List 2024

Here are some fun facts in case you need a refresher on our Jewish New Year...

Rosh Hashanah, which translates to "head of the year" in Hebrew, is the Jewish New Year. It is a time of reflection, introspection, and repentance. Rosh Hashanah is observed on the first two days of the Jewish month of Tishrei, which usually falls in September or October on the Gregorian calendar.

During Rosh Hashanah, Jewish people attend synagogue services, participate in special prayers, and perform Tashlich, a custom where individuals symbolically cast off their sins by tossing breadcrumbs into a body of water. The sounding of the shofar, a ram's horn, is a central observance of Rosh Hashanah.

Traditional Rosh Hashanah foods include apples dipped in honey to symbolize a sweet new year, as well as round challah bread to represent the cycle of the year. The holiday also marks the beginning of the Ten Days of Repentance, which culminate in Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

We are here to support the Jewish community to have access to the necessary food items to share with our family and make the new year a memorable experience to continue our traditions!
